Big Person, Small Adventures.

Young couple relaxes in a pickup truck bed on a road at dusk, with LOVE written on the rear window.

Summer is the best day to get out of the routine and inject the day-to-day life with adventure- even without having to organize a grand getaway. As the days get longer and you are more likely to experience warmer climate, you can explore more of your environment and enjoy even the smallest instances of spontaneity. It is a summer version of a break, but in real life.

Rather than planning great things to do during summer, micro adventures are best suited to this season: small, low-stress activities that can add something new to any day. These do not require traveling or huge investments. They are, more so, little decisions that can make you feel your environment in a different way.

Micro adventures can be even more pleasant in the summer! Go to a new cafe or patio you always pass by, walk on a different street, or enjoy the time in a nearby park or waterfront. You can go outside with a notebook, shoot pictures at golden hour, or make a summer playlist as you lay in the sun.

Even these little experiences are more than they appear to be. Travelling introduces new surroundings and activities to refresh your vision, enhance creativity and add some excitement to your daily life.

It is the best thing of all because adventure does not need to be far. It can be in your neighborhood, or just outside of your routine. This summer, put yourself to the test and each week do one slightly new thing. It may even turn out that the sense of adventure is not where you travel but what you want to make of the moment.
