Ride & Connect Launches This Summer 🚲
Ride & Connect is a beginner-friendly cycling initiative designed to help people build confidence, learn practical riding skills, and experience the joy of riding in community. We’re creating a supportive, low-pressure space for Black, racialized, newcomer, and equity-deserving community members who may not always have access to bikes, cycling knowledge, or safe and welcoming places to get started.
This summer, the program will include:

Help Lead Ride & Connect
We’re looking for 2 instructors and 2 volunteer safety marshals to support Ride & Connect this summer.
Selected instructors will receive free HopOn training through Cycling Nova Scotia: a practical, games-based program that equips facilitators to teach beginner riders in a fun, supportive, and accessible way.
Both instructors and volunteer safety marshals will also receive a free one-year Cycling Nova Scotia membership, which includes:
-
cycling insurance coverage
-
access to group rides and cycling clubs
-
discounts at local cycling retailers
-
connection to Nova Scotia’s wider cycling community
If you enjoy community-building, cycling, and helping others grow in confidence, we’d love to hear from you.
